May Days

Our pool opened the week of Memorial Day and simultaneously came the long-awaited arrival of WARM weather!!! Jason had a slow week at work so we went to the pool pretty much everyday that week. I took Eli to the pool almost daily last summer because well, what else can you really do with a newborn? He just slept in the shade though so this was his first official time in the water. We bought him a nice baby floaty, which he loved, and had a great time!

Our little "Twinbos" (Jason's twin cousins Kimbo and Camille) graduated high school! Since Jason moved to Colorado for work 4 year ago, the only family he has had very close by is his Aunt Melinda, Uncle David and their kids, the youngest of which (and the only ones currently living at home) are Kimbo and Camille. He got very close to them before we started dating (then I took over his life, ha ha). He loves his "little" twinbos and is having a hard time coping with the fact that they aren't so little anymore, I think he seriously shed a tear at their graduation!

Eli was tuckered

Anyway, it was a fun celebration. Some of Jason's other family, his Aunt Karie (Jason's dad's twin sister) and her twin daughters Lisa and LeAnne came up from Colorado Springs. Are you thinking that's a lot of twins? Me too. Also, GREAT Grandma and grandpa Glover came for the graduation all the way from Indiana. We got to celebrate Grandpa Glover's Birthday too!

Also in May, Eli went to his first baseball game. His Uncle Juan works for the San Diego Padres and was able to get us tickets when they came to play the Rockies. We weren't expecting Eli to last long but he loved it. Unfortunately, the weather was awful so we couldn't stay for long, but I'm pretty sure had it not been so nasty out we might have made it through all 9 innings. I'm anxious to go back now that summer has finally arrived. Too bad there won't be any professional sports leagues to take Eli to in Alabama!

These are just 2 random pictures that I decided to include because I thought they were silly.

Tiffy Jr.

When I was pregnant with Eli, I was so certain that we were having a boy that I named him and even started referring to him as Eli long before we officially found out he was a boy. This time around, I was equally certain we're having a girl, so much so that not only have I named her, I even purchased this crib bedding:
It's the matching girl version of Eli's bedding:
It says Michael because I just took this picture from the web site.

Anyway, there was such a great sale over Memorial Day weekend that I just couldn't help myself. I got the girl bedding for about a quarter of what I payed for the boys. Thankfully, this purchase was not made in vain. As was recently confirmed, Baby Glover #2 is indeed a girl :)
That's one trusty mother's intuition! If I do say so myself...
