June

June was a busy month! Once the kids and I got back from Colorado, we just had a little time to unpack and get settled into the new place before heading to San Antonio for Jason's Family's reunion in San Antonio. Here's some random pictures of Eli, Kyah and their shenanigans:

Eli got some new goggles which he was pretty excited about. They basically replaced the sunglasses he nearly always has on his head. This particular day the kids got in my shoe closet and Eli kept asking me to take pictures of him in my shoes... well, if you insist!

Eli took a liking to the incredibly cheesy 1980's Netflix video "All About Monster Trucks." He would watch it over and over again for weeks. There's even a genie named Hard Hat Harry! It's bad...

Sometimes they like each other :)

We rarely, RARELY stay home. I am not a homebody and I think I've trained my kids to be the same. If we don't get up and leave right away in the morning, Eli will ask me a hundred times when we're going to go somewhere. So, these are some pictures I took on one of the only morning we've ever stayed home...

And here is the main reason I don't stay home:

They play for several hours and pass out at 10 AM. Nap time isn't until 1 so this basically ruins my entire day.
These kids are like magnets to a freshly-made bed : /
I'v said before, Eli loves to look at motorcycles parked right out front of stores. Obviously I wasn't too thrilled about this one. And yes, he did notice and point out the "boobs."
Ooh La La Bakery! It's really yummy. Like, way better than any other bakery. We've made it our post-gym Friday afternoon ritual.

Glover Family Reunion:
We stopped at the San Antonio Temple to check it out. Eli likes to see different temples, too.
Lunch at Longhorn Cafe. Jason and his family love this place and I was skeptical but I do have to say, it was amazing. Next stop, Dude Ranch! Just kidding, the reunion wasn't really at a dude ranch, but it was at a big ranch with a lake, zip line, paddle boats, canoeing, sand volleyball, pool, big floating trampoline, mini golf, rope swing, you name it! We all had our own little house to stay in and there was a giant communal room where we all ate, played games, etc. It was the funnest vacation! All we did was play non-stop. I honestly felt like a kid again! Unfortunately, because we did so many water activities, I took hardly any pictures. But here are a few pictures other people took:

Napping wasn't ideal for the kids, Kyah actually fell asleep on my lap in the paddle boat.
Our awesome sand volleyball team.
We had some professional line dancers come and teach us.
A few family pics. And Great Grandma and Grandpa Glover.
The whole crew! Unfortunately some of the only few who missed it this year were our family. Adam had summer school and Ryan, Erin and the kids were going to Washington for Erin's family reunion. The dynamic worked out that everyone kind of gravitated towards their immediate family, naturally, which really made us miss Ryan and Erin. Especially since Eli loves Kherington and Kevin. Oh well, they're moving from Belgium to Dallas in just a few months!! Yay :)
Back home for Father's Day :)
A farewell smooch for Grandpa. He had to head to the airport as we were leaving for church. Grandma stayed for a few extra days.
The problem with 1 o'clock church, Eli fell asleep in the car on the way and slept through all of sacrament. Bad because he didn't learn anything, good because we didn't have to spend an hour nagging him to be reverent.
Splash pad with grandma.
We love having the splash pad right across the street, it sure does come in handy on these hot, boring summer days,
Kyah being silly and shakes at Chick-Fil-A.
My kitchen helper. Milk and TV while I prep lunch.

Colorado (round 2):
Night flights are THE way to go when traveling with youngins! Easiest trip ever. And, the flight wasn't full so we got a whole row to ourselves. Kyah liked having her own seat.

We went to check in on my Dad but he was working the whole time so we didn't see much of him during the day. Having health problems and owning your own small business is not an ideal situation. Anyway, here are all the pictures I took of our various adventures. It was a fun trip, last time we were in Colorado we were just trying to help my Dad in any way and keep him company at the hospital as much as possible, but this time we actually got to visit with friends and enjoy ourselves.
A trip to Chick-Fil-A is always entertaining.
My Dad has 2 AWESOME playgrounds within 50 yards of his house. We loved it! For the past two years the only playground we knew of was a 10 minute drive, same with here in Texas. It sucks.
Park Meadows mall and milkshakes.

Butterfly Pavillion with Mama Vic! We loved seeing one of my best friends ever and the second mother of Eli. Victoria and I spent 10 hours a day working side by side (literally, we shared a desk) when I was pregnant with Eli. I miss her dearly and would be much happier if we could live closer to her. Anyway, we met Victoria and her husband Chris at the Butterfly Pavilion which, by the way, is a HUGE disappointment/waste of money. I strongly discourage you from going. But at least we had good company!

At least we got a couple cute pictures.
Kyah played dress-up in he gift shop.

Pool Day with Uncle Ty Ty:
And, oh the joys of sharing a full size bed with my 2 children:
Kyah was obsessed with Tonka, him not so much with her.
Eli trying on Ty Ty's sweet shades.
Walking Tonka and the kids to the playground every morning and every afternoon was seriously amazing. I have gotten so used to having to load everyone in the car to go anywhere! I forgot how much for granted I took sidewalks and playgrounds everywhere in Colorado. Not to mention, being able to walk outside in the summer and not instantly be soaked in sweat! I really wish Jason could have been with us to enjoy it. He would have loved it.

Another really awesome park.
Kyah didn't care much for this twisting thing...
Is this place not amazing?! I forget the name of it, but biggest park I've ever seen!
One day I stopped to get gas and noticed my tire was leaking air. I looked up and noticed a Discount Tire conveniently located right across from the gas station! I dropped the car off and they fixed the tire for free... I know, amazing! But in the meantime, we got Eli a haircut :)

Kyah napped on the couch with Tonka mot days while Eli hogged the bed. And, Tonka being a good sport while the kids played with him. Poor old guy, I give him credit for putting up with them!

Mim's Cafe muffins! I miss these, they are so good!
We stopped by the temple distribution center and the kids wanted to say "Hi" to Jesus. Eli's exact words.
I took them to their first movie! Monster's University. They were not impressed. They probably spent more time playing in these rocks outside of the theater than they did sitting in the movie. Good waste of 20 bucks!

And that's about all the pictures I took in Colorado, I really wish I took at least one picture of my Dad! But I really didn't see as much of him as I would have likes and he probably wouldn't want me to take pictures of him when he wasn't feeling well. Next time!

Oh and going through old photos I found this. It's pretty awesome, I'd say. As you can tell, I'm a natural beauty!
