After a long time in Myrtle Beach, Eli and I were so glad to see Jason and finally be back together as a family! Not that he didn't love the beach and being spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa! However, once we got home, some much-needed family time was definitely in order. Since Jason had all of last week off work we decided to have a little stay-cation right here in Colorado. We went up to the mountains from Saturday through Tuesday, Jason's friend was kind enough to lend us his beautiful condo to stay in. We did some hiking, went to a 4th of July parade, saw some fireworks (unfortunately, they were VERY lame), ate a lot of delicious food and basically had a great time.
I don't think I've ever seen a beaver in real life before, they are surprisingly small yet very loud!
Eli has recently taken a liking to clapping, needless to say, he loved the parade! Lots of opportunities to exercise this new interest!
Well, I wish I took more pictures, but I didn't! Also on our mountain getaway, Eli walked for the first time! He has been taking steps for over a month now but had not walked until all of sudden last Sunday, he was walking all over the place! We were so excited about this milestone that we sent a message out to our whole family announcing the big news... and guess what?!?! He has not taken a SINGLE step since! Figures.
